La Calma is located in Ribadesella, Asturias along the coastal “Camino de Santiago” (St. James Way) pilgrimage route and is ideally positioned to explore the nearby activities and places of interest.

These include hiking, kayaking, horse riding, golf, surfing, dinosaur footprint trails, prehistoric cave paintings, numerous sandy beaches, the magnificent Picos de Europa and many unspoilt towns and national parks.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WITH “TURAVENTURA”:

Kayaking down the river Sella [€ 23 per person]
An unforgettable experience and unique way to experience the beautiful and tranquil course of the river Sella. No previous canoing experience is required. The route lasts between 4-6 hours according to your rhythm and speed. There are many sand banks where you can stop along the way and a picnic is provided for you to take with you.

Quad Biking [€ 30 per person, € 40 if two people share]
Hire a quad bike and join the guided routes that will take you through special places in Ribadesella and its coast.

Canyoning [€ 40 per person]
Ideal for “adrenalin junkies” as you descend down small rivers using techniques such as rappel, tobogganing and jumping into deep pools.

Spelaelogy [€ 25 per person]
Each cave has its unique characteristics, some are horizontal whilst others are completely vertical. Some routes are on foot and others require climbing. You are provided with a helmet and all the gear required.

Paint Balling [€ 25 per persona]
A fun and full of action game played in a group. Each session lasts 2 hours where several games are organised. Each player is given 100 balls included in the price and additional balls can be purchased.


HORSE BACK RIDING WITH "CUADRA EL ALISAL":

Only a few metres away from La Calma is the “Cuadra El Alisal” where you can join horse back ridding excursions for all ages and levels.

Route A: At the Enclosed Course
Ideal for kids as they can ride within an enclosed circuit.
Length: 30 minutes.
Price for kids: 10 €

Route B: La Mediana o Ribera del Sella
This is an outdoor and guided excursion amongst the beautiful countryside. The pace is slow and it lasts circa 1 hour. It is ideal for all levels.

Route C: Climb to the Church of Santa María de Junco
Another beautiful guided outdoor excursion which takes you up to a Roman church in the area with fantastic views.
